ABOUT THIS WINE
The Halos de Jupiter Vacqueyras 2020 is a red wine from the Southern Rhône, France, produced by Les Halos de Jupiter. The wine is a blend, primarily featuring Grenache from very old vines grown on the 'Plateau des Garrigues,' a terroir characterized by rolled pebbles and red clay. The producer, a project involving Michel Gassier and the late Philippe Cambie, aims to highlight the potential of Grenache and the distinct terroirs of the Southern Rhône. This wine is notable for its minimal intervention winemaking approach, including native yeast fermentation and the absence of added sulfur dioxide, allowing for a pure expression of the grape and its origin.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Halos de Jupiter Vacqueyras 2020 is produced using a minimal intervention approach. Grapes are neither destemmed nor crushed, and fermentation occurs with native yeasts without added sulfur dioxide. Gentle extractions are achieved through manual 'pigeage' at around 28°C for approximately five weeks. Following fermentation, the wine is aged for one year in 600-liter demi-muid vessels. The wine is neither fined nor filtered before bottling.
