WINE MAKING PROCESS
The winemaking process for Hartford Court Russian River Valley Chardonnay begins with hand-harvested grapes, picked at night for maximum freshness. The fruit undergoes whole-cluster pressing before fermentation in 100% French oak barrels, utilizing indigenous yeasts for both primary and secondary malolactic fermentation. The wine is then aged for 8-10 months in French oak, with a portion of new barrels, and undergoes weekly lees stirring (batonage) to enhance texture and complexity. Most bottlings are unfined and unfiltered to preserve their natural mouthfeel and flavor profile.
