WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Heartland Shiraz 2019 is produced from 100% Shiraz grapes that are de-stemmed and crushed. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks, with the grape cap being pumped over twice daily for ten days. Following fermentation, the wine is matured for twelve months in older oak barrels, including French and American hogsheads. The producer, Heartland Wines, emphasizes vineyard care and a philosophy of minimal intervention, with sustainable practices like using goats for soil enrichment and implementing stringent water controls.
