ABOUT THIS WINE
Heidsieck & Co Edition Jönköping Brut is a non-vintage Champagne from Heidsieck & Co Monopole, a house established in 1785. Its creation is inspired by a historical event involving a shipment of Heidsieck & Co champagne lost at sea in 1916. The salvaged bottles from this wreck, discovered in 1998, became highly sought after. This modern bottling is designed to evoke the potential taste profile of that historical champagne. The wine originates from the Champagne region of France, known for its specific terroir ideal for sparkling wine production.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
Heidsieck & Co Edition Jönköping Brut is produced using the traditional method, also known as the méthode champenoise. This involves a primary fermentation followed by a secondary fermentation that takes place in the bottle, creating the wine's effervescence. The wine then undergoes an extended aging period on its lees for up to 36 months. This process, longer than the standard 15 months for Champagne, allows for the development of complex flavors and textures through autolysis.
