ABOUT THIS WINE
Vino Gross Hisno Vino Noir 2022 is a natural red wine from Štajerska Slovenija, Slovenia. It is a blend of 50% Blaufränkisch, 40% Pinot Noir, and 10% Furmint. The wine is produced by Vino Gross, a family-run estate founded by Michael and Maria Gross, who were inspired by Michael's father, Alois Gross. The vineyards are situated on steep terraces in Haloze, characterized by lime-rich clay and marl soils. The Hisno Vino series is designed as a playground for fresh ideas and experimentation in winemaking. The 2022 vintage experienced a hot growing season followed by a tricky fermentation.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
Vino Gross Hisno Vino Noir 2022 is produced using organic viticulture practices. The grapes are hand-harvested and co-fermented with natural yeasts. Maceration on skins lasts for 10 days. The wine then undergoes aging for 10 months on the lees, with 50% maturation in stainless steel and 50% in oak casks. The wine is bottled unfiltered and unfined, reflecting the producer's commitment to natural winemaking.
