Horcajo

Horcajo is crafted exclusively from grapes sourced from the single plot named "Pago de Horcajo," situated at an elevation of 750 meters. The vineyard benefits from loam and clay-limestone soils, ideal for vine cultivation. The winery employs modern viticultural practices, with grapes harvested manually to ensure optimal quality. Vinification begins with fermentation at controlled temperatures in stainless steel tanks. Following this, malolactic fermentation takes place in new French oak barrels for 30 days, contributing to the wine's complexity and texture. The wine then undergoes an extensive aging period of 18 months, exclusively in new French oak barrels, which integrates the oak character seamlessly with the fruit.
