ABOUT THIS WINE
The Idda Etna Rosso 2021 is a red wine from the Etna Rosso DOC appellation in Sicily, a collaborative project between Gaja and Alberto Graci. The wine's name, 'IDDA,' is a Sicilian term of endearment for Mount Etna, reflecting the volcano's influence on the wine. The vineyards are situated on the south-west slopes of Mount Etna, at altitudes ranging from 600 to 800 meters. The grapes used are primarily Nerello Mascalese, with a smaller proportion of Nerello Cappuccio, grown in the mineral-rich volcanic soils characteristic of the region.
