Il Seggio Rosso Bolgheri DOC

Il Seggio Rosso Bolgheri DOC is a red wine from Poggio al Tesoro, situated in the Bolgheri DOC appellation of Tuscany. The wine is named after the Seggio River, which flows through the region. Poggio al Tesoro was established in 2001 by Marilisa and Walter Allegrini with a focus on exploring new winemaking possibilities, emphasizing sustainability and environmental respect. The Bolgheri region, historically recognized for its mineral resources, provides a distinct terroir for this wine. The 2022 vintage experienced a challenging growing season with high temperatures and drought, mitigated by beneficial late-season rainfall that aided grape ripeness and aromatic concentration.
