ABOUT THIS WINE
Ver Sacrum Irreplicable is a white wine from the Uco Valley, Mendoza, Argentina, specifically from the Los Chacayes sub-region. The wine is a field blend, primarily featuring Gewürztraminer, Viognier, and Garnacha Blanca. The producer, Ver Sacrum, was founded by three friends with a mission to create fresh, lower-alcohol wines that highlight Mediterranean grape varieties, which were historically significant in Argentina but have since become less common. The vineyards are located at a high altitude of 1100 meters, contributing to the wine's character. The project emphasizes a philosophy of minimal intervention in both the vineyard and the winery.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Ver Sacrum Irreplicable is produced using a field blend of Gewürztraminer, Viognier, and Garnacha Blanca, hand-harvested from vineyards at 1100 meters. The winemaking process emphasizes minimal intervention, with grapes being foot-crushed and fermentation carried out using native yeasts. Following fermentation, the wine undergoes an 18-month aging period in old French oak barrels. This approach aims to capture the essence of the high-altitude Uco Valley terroir and express the character of the chosen grape varieties.
