ABOUT THIS WINE
Királyudvar Furmint Sec 2021 is a dry white wine from the Tokaj region of Hungary, produced by Királyudvar Winery. The wine is crafted primarily from the Furmint grape, with a smaller proportion of Hárslevelű. Királyudvar is one of Hungary's most historic estates, acquired and revitalized by the Hwang family, who are also proprietors of Domaine Huet in Vouvray. They have focused on producing dry and sparkling wines from the Furmint grape, employing biodynamic viticulture. The estate's vineyards, including the historically important Percze site, are situated in Tokaj-Hegyalja. This wine is recognized for its innovative approach to dry Tokaj winemaking, balancing the intensity and acidity of Furmint.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Királyudvar Furmint Sec 2021 is produced using grapes from the Percze Vineyard and other historic sites. The winemaking process begins with gentle whole-cluster pressing of the grapes. The juice is then settled and fermented using native yeasts. Following fermentation, the wine undergoes aging for 7-8 months in 500-liter neutral Hungarian oak barrels before bottling. The estate practices certified biodynamic and organic viticulture.
