ABOUT THIS WINE
L'Alba al Turó Rosat is a naturally sparkling rosé wine from the Penedès DOP in Spain, produced by Mas Gomà. It is made using the ancestral method (Pétillant Naturel), a technique that involves finishing fermentation in the bottle for natural carbonation. The wine is a blend, primarily featuring Garnacha and Xarel-lo Vermell, and is crafted with a philosophy of minimal intervention, utilizing native yeasts, and avoiding fining and filtering. The Mas Gomà estate has a long history, with the family owning the property since 1918, and their current winemaking era began in 2009.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
L'Alba al Turó Rosat is produced using the ancestral method, also known as Pétillant Naturel. This involves a spontaneous fermentation initiated with native yeasts, which continues and finishes inside the bottle, creating natural carbonation. The winemaking style is characterized by minimal intervention; the wine is unfined and unfiltered, and little to no sulfur is added. The grapes are hand-harvested from vineyards managed using organic and biodynamic practices. A short period of skin maceration is employed for the rosé to achieve its color and some phenolic structure.
