ABOUT THIS WINE
La Bruja de Rozas, produced by Comando G, is a 100% Garnacha red wine from the Vinos de Madrid DO, specifically from the Sierra de Gredos region. The project was founded by winemakers Fernando Garcia and Daniel Landi with the aim of producing world-class Garnacha that expresses its terroir. The vineyards are planted with old vines, ranging from 50 to 80 years old, at high altitudes between 800 and 1200 meters on soils derived from granite, slate, and quartz. This wine is recognized for its distinctive pale color and elegant profile, which Comando G seeks to achieve through meticulous vineyard work and winemaking.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The winemaking process for La Bruja begins with a hand harvest of Garnacha grapes. Fermentation is carried out using indigenous yeasts in open-top French oak casks or wooden vats. For the 2022 vintage, maceration was reduced to adapt to warmer conditions. Following fermentation, the wine undergoes aging for 7 to 9 months in French oak barrels, foudres, or demi-muids, with a focus on using seasoned oak rather than new. The viticulture practices employed are organic and biodynamic.
