ABOUT THIS WINE
La Cappuccina Carmenos Passito is a red sweet wine from the Veneto IGT in Italy. It is produced by La Cappuccina Societa Agricola Semplice, a family estate in the region. The wine is distinguished by its Passito winemaking method, involving the drying of grapes to concentrate sugars and flavors, and its blend of 50% Carmenère and 50% Oseleta, an old and rare Veronese grape. This combination results in a unique sweet red wine profile.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The production of La Cappuccina Carmenos Passito begins with a hand harvest of Carmenère and Oseleta grapes. These grapes are then subjected to the Passito method, involving drying for approximately 120 days to concentrate sugars and flavors. Following de-stemming and gentle pressing, the grapes undergo fermentation and maceration for over 40 days. The resulting wine is then aged for 24 months in French Oak barriques before bottling.
