ABOUT THIS WINE
La Fortezza Falanghina Beneventano is a white wine from the Beneventano IGT in Campania, Italy, produced by La Fortezza Società Agricola s.r.l. The wine is made from 100% Falanghina grapes. The producer, established by Enzo Rillo, is located in Torrecuso, Benevento, at the base of the Taburno-Camposauro park. This location emphasizes the winery's dedication to showcasing the distinctiveness of its wine-producing territory. The vineyards benefit from the region's limestone-clay soils and are planted at altitudes ranging from 150-350 meters up to 200-600 meters above sea level, with a South-East exposure. The winery's design is integrated into the surrounding landscape.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
La Fortezza Falanghina Beneventano is produced using soft pressing of the grapes. The must is then fermented in stainless steel tanks under controlled temperatures. Some producers within the Falanghina Beneventano IGT may utilize cryo-maceration. Following fermentation, the wine typically ages for 3-4 months in steel tanks, often with lees contact (bâtonnage) to enhance texture and complexity. A minimum of one month of bottle aging follows before the wine is ready for release. The harvest for this wine typically takes place in the latter half of September or early October.
