WINE MAKING PROCESS
Avondale La Luna 2018 is produced using a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Malbec, and Cabernet Franc. The grapes are sourced from vines aged between 17 and 28 years. Viticultural practices include hand-harvesting in the early mornings. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels. The wine then undergoes aging for 12 to 16 months in 225-liter French oak barrels, with a combination of new and used barrels employed. Avondale Wine Estate is committed to biodynamic and organic farming principles, focusing on soil health and biodiversity.
