ABOUT THIS WINE
Bodegas Señorío de Líbano is situated in the historic village of Sajazarra, within the prestigious Rioja Alta sub-region. Operating from the estate of a beautifully preserved 15th-century castle, the winery blends deep-rooted history with precise modern viticulture. 'La Roma' is a single-vineyard expression dedicated to Tempranillo Peludo ('Hairy Tempranillo'), an ancient, rare clone of Tempranillo. This clone is highly prized for its loose clusters, small berries, and excellent natural acidity, offering a distinctive and authentic expression of Rioja's cooler northwestern terroir.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The grapes for La Roma are hand-harvested from the dedicated single vineyard in Sajazarra. Upon arrival at the winery, they undergo strict selection. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks with gentle pump-overs to manage tannin extraction. The wine is then aged in a combination of French and American oak barrels, allowing the structured tannins of the Tempranillo Peludo clone to soften while integrating subtle spice notes without overshadowing the vibrant primary fruit characteristics.
