ABOUT THIS WINE
Domaine des Carlines La Vouivre 2021 is a white wine from the Jura region of France, produced by Domaine des Carlines. The wine is a blend of 70% Chardonnay and 30% Savagnin, produced under the Côtes du Jura appellation. The estate was founded in 2015 by Patrick and Sophie Ligeron in Ménétru-le-Vignoble, with vineyards planted on grey marl soils. The 2021 vintage was marked by significant spring frost, impacting the crop yield. The La Vouivre wine is sourced from four different vineyard parcels.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
Domaine des Carlines La Vouivre 2021 is produced using natural fermentation. A significant portion of the wine is aged for 18 months in used Burgundy oak barrels (3-5 years old), with the remainder in stainless steel. Following this, the wine is blended and undergoes an additional three months of maturation in stainless steel vats before bottling. The wine is bottled without filtration or fining.
