ABOUT THIS WINE
The Landauer Gisperg Traminer wild 2020 is a white wine from Winzerhof Landauer-Gisperg, a family-run organic winery in Austria's Thermenregion. The winery has practiced organic viticulture for over 19 years and is certified organic and vegan. This wine is distinguished by its designation as an 'orange wine,' achieved through spontaneous fermentation on the skins, a process that likely gives it the 'wild' characteristic in its name. The producer emphasizes a philosophy of 'handmade, individual and with soul,' respecting nature to achieve high quality. The Thermenregion, with its gravelly soils, provides the terroir for the grapes.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Landauer Gisperg Traminer wild 2020 is produced using spontaneous fermentation on the mash, a technique that involves extended skin contact, resulting in an orange wine. Fermentation takes place in large acacia wood barrels for four weeks. Following fermentation, the wine matures on full lees in old oak barrels (777 and 300 liters) for ten months, with an additional eight months in wooden barrels. The winery operates under certified organic and vegan practices, reflecting a philosophy of 'handmade, individual and with soul' and a deep respect for nature.
