ABOUT THIS WINE
Casa E. di Mirafiore, founded in 1878 by Emanuele Alberto di Mirafiore, son of the first King of Italy, is a historic estate located in the heart of Serralunga d'Alba. After decades of dormancy, the brand was revived with a strict focus on organic viticulture and the preservation of native Piedmontese varieties. This wine is crafted from Nascetta, an ancient, semi-aromatic white grape native to the Langhe hills that was nearly lost to history before its modern renaissance. Sourced from estate vineyards, this bottling represents a dedication to biodiversity and historical authenticity in Piedmont.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The grapes are organically grown on a 5.5-hectare plot at 300 meters elevation with clay-limestone soils. Harvested by hand in small crates, the whole bunches are gently pressed without destemming to extract only the finest free-run juice. After gravity settling for 24 to 36 hours, fermentation is carried out in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 16°C using indigenous yeasts, lasting over three weeks. Malolactic fermentation is blocked to preserve the grape's natural, vibrant acidity. The wine then ages on its fine lees in stainless steel until spring to build mid-palate texture and complexity.
