ABOUT THIS WINE
Azienda Agricola Andrea Oberto's Langhe Nebbiolo DOC is a red wine from the renowned Langhe region of Piedmont, Italy, made exclusively from 100% Nebbiolo grapes. The wine's unique characteristic stems from its origin: the grapes are sourced from young vines (around six years old) planted in vineyards designated for Barolo production, within the municipality of La Morra. This 'baby Barolo' positioning offers a more approachable expression of Nebbiolo, designed for earlier enjoyment. The Andrea Oberto winery, established in 1959 and led by Andrea Oberto since 1978, focuses on producing high-quality wines from this prestigious area. The estate has evolved from a small farm to an internationally recognized producer, committed to the distinct denominations of Piedmont.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
Azienda Agricola Andrea Oberto's Langhe Nebbiolo DOC is produced using a blend of traditional and modern winemaking techniques. The Nebbiolo grapes are hand-harvested in October from vineyards located in La Morra. Vinification involves fermenting a portion of the wine in wood and another in stainless steel, a method chosen to balance complexity and fruit expression. Following fermentation, the wine is aged for six months, split between wood and stainless steel vessels. A final two months of bottle aging precedes its release, contributing to its refined character. The vineyards utilize sustainable farming and the Guyot training system, with meticulous vineyard management including thinning to achieve a yield of 1.3 kg per vine.
