Founded by oenologist Grégory Pérez, Bodegas Mengoba is dedicated to sustainable viticulture and expressing the terroir through indigenous grape varieties and revived winemaking traditions. The grapes are sourced from old vines in high-altitude plots, contributing to the wine's character.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
Mengoba Las Tinajas 2018 is produced from 100% Godello grapes. The vinification involves destemming the grapes and placing them in earthenware jars (tinajas) for extended skin maceration, lasting approximately 120 days at low temperatures. After maceration, the wine is pressed and separated from the skins. It is then aged for six months in clay amphorae of 300 or 450 liters. The wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered. The vineyards are farmed with respect for the soil and minimal treatments, and the harvest is manual.
