WINE MAKING PROCESS
The winemaking process for Le Orme Barbera d'Asti DOCG begins with manual harvesting. Fermentation occurs in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks with a maceration period of 10 days. Malolactic fermentation is carried out in steel tanks. The wine is then aged for a minimum of 16 months, which includes 3 months in large French oak casks, followed by further aging in stainless steel and bottle. The producer, Michele Chiarlo, adheres to sustainable agricultural practices and holds VIVA Sustainable Wine certification.
