WINE MAKING PROCESS
Le Orme Barbera d'Asti 2022 is produced using 100% Barbera grapes. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks with a 10-day maceration period utilizing a soft 'shower' system for cap management. Malolactic fermentation is carried out in steel. The wine is aged for a minimum of 16 months, including time in large French oak casks, followed by refinement in stainless steel and bottle. The 2022 vintage was marked by an early harvest due to warm, dry weather, yielding grapes of high quality. Michele Chiarlo is committed to certified sustainable winemaking practices.
