ABOUT THIS WINE
Domaine Lafage's Les Lloses Blanc 2018 is a highly limited production white wine from the Languedoc region of France, specifically the AOC Côtes du Roussillon. Sourced from a tiny 0.33-hectare parcel in Les Aspres, near Tordères, the vineyard features approximately 50-year-old Grenache Blanc and Grenache Gris vines planted on marl-schist soils. This confidential wine is known for its small quantities, with the vineyard protected by natural garrigue, olive trees, and Mediterranean herbs, shielding it from the strong Tramontane winds. It represents a unique expression of its terroir and the dedication of Domaine Lafage.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The viticulture for Les Lloses Blanc involves manual harvesting, with grapes carefully collected in 10 kg boxes. A rigorous two-stage selection process ensures only the best bunches are used, first in the vineyard and then again at the winery. The juice undergoes fermentation in French oak barrels. Following fermentation, the wine is aged in the same barrels for three months, with regular lees stirring (bâtonnage) to enhance texture and complexity. It is bottled without filtration and then allowed to age in the bottle for a full year before its release.
