ABOUT THIS WINE
The Heitz Cellar Linda Falls Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 is a single-vineyard expression from the Howell Mountain appellation in Napa Valley. Established in 2013, Linda Falls Vineyard is one of Heitz Cellar's most recent single-vineyard designations, chosen for its unique topography and terroir. The vineyard, planted in 2002 at 1,400 feet, features red, iron-rich soils and decomposed volcanic ash. This wine embodies Heitz Cellar's dedication to capturing the distinct character of its vineyard sites, a philosophy rooted in the winery's founding in 1961 by Joe and Alice Heitz. The 2018 vintage benefited from favorable growing conditions, contributing to the wine's profile.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Heitz Cellar Linda Falls Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 is produced from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grown on seven hilltop acres in Howell Mountain. The vineyard is farmed sustainably and certified organic. Following harvest, the wine undergoes a three-year aging process. It is first aged for one year in neutral American oak tanks, followed by two years in 100% new tight-grain French oak barrels. This meticulous approach to viticulture and vinification aims to capture the distinct expression of the Linda Falls Vineyard terroir.
