ABOUT THIS WINE
Lloberes is a natural orange wine from Domaine Les Salicaires, produced in the Roussillon region of France by winemaker Vincent Lafage. Crafted from 100% Grenache Gris, it is a Vin de France. The vineyards are situated in Canet-en-Roussillon, a mere 5 kilometers from the Mediterranean coast, on a Quaternary terrace with stony, clay-limestone soils covered in rolled pebbles. This proximity to the sea is thought to contribute a distinct minerality to the grapes. Vincent Lafage, who took over his family's estate in 2016, is committed to organic and biodynamic farming, cultivating 2 hectares with a philosophy of minimal intervention. His wines are characterized by their lightness and drinkability, offering a contrast to the heavier styles often found in the South of France. The Lloberes cuvée is a skin-contact wine, aged in terracotta amphorae, with a total annual production for the domaine not exceeding 3,000 bottles.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
Lloberes is a natural orange wine made from 100% Grenache Gris. The hand-harvested grapes undergo a three-week maceration on their skins, followed by spontaneous fermentation using indigenous yeasts. During fermentation, pump-overs and punch-downs are employed to develop structure. The winemaking is non-interventionist, with no added inputs, fining, or filtration. Following fermentation, the wine is aged for six months in terracotta amphorae. The estate is certified organic, and farming practices are carried out with a deep respect for nature, using minimal treatments.
