ABOUT THIS WINE
Bodega Tinaha is a deeply personal micro-winery founded in 2019 by chemical engineer and oenologist Lorenzo Boris Abellán Martínez and his wife, Victoria Moreno. Located in the rugged Sierra de la Pila mountain range in Murcia, Spain, the estate is dedicated to preserving local viticultural heritage. By partnering with elderly local farmers in Abarán and Ricote, they pay fair prices to prevent ancient, dry-farmed vineyards from being uprooted. The project is highly family-oriented, with custom back-labels dedicated to the couple's daughters, Elia and Sofía, and a commitment to sustainable, low-carbon practices.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The winemaking process is defined by a low-intervention, "less is more" philosophy. Grapes are hand-harvested in two distinct phases: an early harvest to preserve natural acidity, and a later harvest for phenolic ripeness. The grapes are destemmed but left uncrushed, undergoing spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts in stainless steel. Mid-fermentation, the juice is pressed off and transferred to clay amphoras (tinajas) of 200L and 500L capacities to complete fermentation and age for 10 months. Some amphoras are lined with natural pine resin. The wine is bottled without filtration, clarification, or chemical corrections, with only minimal sulfites added at blending.
