ABOUT THIS WINE
Lugana DOC 'Edizione Storica' is a celebratory bottling produced by Sartori di Verona, a historic estate founded in 1898 by Pietro Sartori in the heart of the Valpolicella region. This specific wine pays tribute to the winery's long heritage, featuring a label design inspired by historical archives. The grapes are sourced from selected vineyards on the southern shores of Lake Garda, where the temperate microclimate and unique morainic clay soils provide an ideal environment for the local Turbiana grape. Today, the fourth generation of the Sartori family continues to manage the estate, maintaining deep cultural ties to the Veneto region, including their role as a long-standing partner of the Arena di Verona.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The winemaking process for the Edizione Storica focuses on preserving the natural freshness and mineral character of the Turbiana grape. Following a careful hand-selection, the grapes undergo a gentle soft pressing to extract the high-quality free-run must. Fermentation is carried out under strict temperature control in stainless steel vats to protect the delicate primary aromatics. To maintain its vibrant fruit profile and crisp definition, the wine is aged for four months in stainless steel tanks before bottling, avoiding any oak contact. The bottling utilizes high-quality DIAM corks to prevent cork taint and ensure consistent development.
