ABOUT THIS WINE
The Luis XIV Anforas 2022 is a red wine from the Alicante DO, produced by Colección de Toneles Centenarios S.L. in La Cañada. It is a blend of Monastrell (60%), Arcos (30%), and Bonicaire (10%), indigenous grape varieties from old vineyards planted in the 1960s at 560 meters altitude on sandy soils. The wine is distinguished by its maturation in ceramic amphorae for four months. The winery's mission is to transmit the personality of old Alicante wines, drawing inspiration from the historical Fondillón wine that was once favored by King Louis XIV of France.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Luis XIV Anforas 2022 is produced from Monastrell, Arcos, and Bonicaire grapes grown in old, dryland vineyards at high altitude. The vines are trained in a goblet system. Following harvest, the wine is aged for four months in ceramic amphorae, which are made from local clay and fired in traditional wood ovens. This technique is employed to maintain the purity of the fruit and the wine's inherent character.
