ABOUT THIS WINE
Macaria Erbaluce is a still white wine produced by La Masera in the Canavese area of Piedmont, Italy, within the Erbaluce di Caluso DOCG appellation. The winery was established by five friends in 2005, inspired by their heritage and the local Erbaluce grape. The name 'Masera' signifies the stone walls characteristic of their vineyard landscape. The vineyards are located on hillsides at altitudes between 230 and 350 meters, with soils influenced by the morainic hills of the Anfiteatro Morenico of Ivrea, contributing to the wine's distinct regional identity.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Macaria Erbaluce is produced using 100% Erbaluce grapes. Following hand-harvesting, 70% of the must is fermented in French oak barrels (first and second passage), including malolactic fermentation, while the remaining 30% ferments in stainless steel at controlled temperatures. The wine then undergoes 10 months of aging in oak barrels. After assembly, it is bottled and aged for an additional six months before release.
