WINE MAKING PROCESS
Grapes for Malbec Du Château Pineraie are hand-sorted before undergoing controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks at up to 30 degrees Celsius. Maceration on the skins lasts for 2-3 weeks, with frequent pumping over and aeration. Following fermentation, the wine is aged for 12 months in oak barrels, 20% of which are new. It is then lightly filtered before bottling to preserve fruit quality. Vineyard management follows a 'lutte raisonnée' approach, with a move towards organic practices.
