ABOUT THIS WINE
The Mandrarossa Timperosse Petit Verdot is a 100% Petit Verdot red wine from Sicily, produced by Cantine Settesoli under the Terre Siciliane IGT classification. Cantine Settesoli, established in 1958, operates as a cooperative dedicated to supporting local winegrowers. The Mandrarossa brand, introduced in 1999, is the result of a research initiative to identify ideal terroirs for various grape varietals across Sicily. This wine represents an innovative approach to Sicilian winemaking, focusing on expressing the island's biodiversity through the careful selection of grapes and their specific growing environments. The vineyards are located in the coastal area of Menfi on the southwestern coast of Sicily.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Mandrarossa Timperosse Petit Verdot is produced through gentle pressing of the grapes, followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The skin maceration period lasts for 4-6 days. Following fermentation, the wine is aged for 4 months in stainless steel tanks. Some information suggests a prior maturation period in oak barriques for six months or twelve months in French oak barrels before bottling. The vineyards are located in the Menfi area on Sicily's southwestern coast.
