WINE MAKING PROCESS
The 2022 Mannequin is crafted using fruit sourced from cool-climate California vineyards, including the legendary Bien Nacido and Rancho Real in the Santa Maria Valley, and Laguna Ranch in the Russian River Valley. The winemaking process focuses on building texture and complexity. The wine undergoes 100% barrel fermentation and is aged for 9 months on its fine lees (sur lie) in French oak barrels, of which 27% is new. Regular stirring of the lees (bâtonnage) is employed during maturation to enhance the wine's creamy mouthfeel, weight, and structural integration before final blending and bottling.
