ABOUT THIS WINE
The Bérerd family has farmed the steep slopes of Le Perréon in Beaujolais for over five centuries. Under the Domaine de la Madone estate, brothers Olivier and Bruno Bérerd continue this legacy, naming this special cuvée 'Marie Bé' after their relative Marie Bérénice. Sourced from exceptionally old heritage vines—some over 100 years old—planted on steep, high-altitude pink granite slopes, this wine represents a premium expression of the region that many critics argue deserves Cru status.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The grapes are entirely hand-harvested from certified organic plots. Unlike traditional semi-carbonic maceration common in Beaujolais, this wine is crafted using a Burgundian approach. Grapes are fully destemmed, and fermentation is driven by indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged gently in a combination of stainless steel tanks and neutral oak barrels to preserve its vibrant fruit energy and distinct mineral tension.
