WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Chapoutier Marius Grenache Syrah 2022 involves separate vinification for the Grenache and Syrah grapes. The grapes undergo maceration for ten days at controlled, fresh temperatures, with delicate pumping over to extract tannins and fruit aromas. Fermentation also takes place at controlled, fresh temperatures. Following fermentation, the wines are racked multiple times and matured on fine lees without added sulfur to build complexity. Aging is typically conducted in stainless steel tanks to preserve freshness and fruit expression. The 2022 harvest in the Languedoc-Roussillon was marked by a very hot season, with late-season rainfall contributing to the vintage's character.
