ABOUT THIS WINE
Bodegas Marqués de Cáceres was founded in 1970 in Cenicero, Rioja Alta, by Enrique Forner. Drawing on his family winemaking heritage and guidance from renowned Bordeaux oenologist Émile Peynaud, Forner introduced a modern perspective to Rioja winemaking by placing fruit purity and balanced oak at the center of production. Today, the estate is directed by his daughter, Cristina Forner, maintaining its position as one of Rioja's globally recognized historic producers.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
Hand-harvested from vineyards aged 20 to 35+ years located in Rioja Alta and Rioja Alavesa. The grapes are destemmed and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks with extended skin contact for up to 20 days. Malolactic fermentation occurs in barrels and tanks before aging for 12 months in oak barrels (60% French oak, 40% American oak), followed by at least one full year of cellar aging in bottle.
