ABOUT THIS WINE
Herederos del Marqués de Riscal is one of the oldest and most pioneering wineries in Spain. While famous for Rioja, they were instrumental in the creation of the Rueda DO in 1980. In the early 1970s, looking to produce a high-quality white wine, they chose the indigenous Verdejo grape in Rueda, working alongside legendary French enologist Émile Peynaud. This wine represents the modern benchmark for Rueda Verdejo, showcasing the grape's natural freshness, aromatic complexity, and versatility.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The grapes are harvested at night to preserve freshness and prevent oxidation. After destemming and cooling, the grapes undergo a brief cold maceration before pneumatic pressing. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks at 13-15°C to retain primary fruit aromas. Following fermentation, the wine remains on its fine lees for a period to build mid-palate texture and complexity before stabilization and bottling.
