ABOUT THIS WINE
Mas del Serral Pepe Raventós 2010 is a single-parcel sparkling wine from the Clos del Serral vineyard in Catalonia's Penedès region. The wine is a personal project of Pepe Raventós, representing the 21st generation of a historic winemaking family. His philosophy centers on ancestral farming and winemaking techniques, emphasizing biodynamic practices and minimal intervention to express the unique terroir. The vineyard, planted in 1954, features old vines on calcareous soils. This wine is a departure from traditional Cava, focusing on the singular expression of its origin.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Mas del Serral Pepe Raventós 2010 is produced using the Traditional Method, with grapes hand-sorted and whole-bunch pressed. Primary fermentation takes place in steel and concrete tanks, with no oak used. The wine undergoes a second fermentation in the bottle, followed by an extensive aging period of around 100 months on its lees. This process is guided by biodynamic and organic farming principles, including the use of horse plowing in the vineyard.
