ABOUT THIS WINE
The Leonardo Bussoletti Mau Grechetto 2023 is an Italian white wine from Umbria, produced by Società Agricola Leonardo Bussoletti. It is a blend primarily of Grechetto (including Grechetto di Todi and Grechetto di Orvieto) with approximately 20-30% Trebbiano Spoletino, classified under the Umbria IGT. The wine's narrative is inspired by C.S. Lewis's 'The Chronicles of Narnia,' with the winery located near the town of Narni, which served as inspiration for the author. Leonardo Bussoletti is dedicated to artisanal winemaking, focusing on the revival and promotion of Umbria's native grape varieties through certified organic farming and natural fermentation techniques.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Leonardo Bussoletti Mau Grechetto 2023 is produced using certified organic farming practices. Grapes are hand-harvested and then undergo spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts, utilizing the pied de cuve method, in stainless steel tanks for approximately 30 days. Following fermentation, the wine is aged on its fine lees in stainless steel for about six months to develop texture and complexity. The wine is then cellared for 1-2 months after bottling before release.
