ABOUT THIS WINE
Mea Rosa is a rosé wine from the Liguria di Levante IGT appellation, produced by Cantine Lunae. Founded in 1966, Cantine Lunae is a family-owned winery with a four-generation history rooted in the Ligurian territory. The winery's name reflects its connection to the ancient Roman colony of 'Portus Lunae'. Mea Rosa is crafted primarily from Ciliegiolo, Merlot, and Vermentino Nero grapes. A distinctive aspect of this wine is its elegant dry taste and exceptionally low residual sugar. The wine also highlights Cantine Lunae's commitment to valorizing indigenous grapes, particularly Vermentino Nero, which was nearly forgotten.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Mea Rosa is produced through careful vinification of its grape blend. The grapes undergo a short period of skin maceration, typically around 4 hours, at controlled temperatures. Following maceration, fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks, also at controlled temperatures, to preserve freshness. After fermentation, the wine is matured on its fine lees for several months before bottling. This process is guided by Cantine Lunae's commitment to respecting nature and tradition, with an emphasis on organic viticulture and the use of green energy.
