ABOUT THIS WINE
The Mildiani Qvevri Bouquet Rkatsiteli is an orange wine produced in the Kakheti region of Georgia. It is made from the indigenous Rkatsiteli grape, a varietal with a long history in Georgian viticulture. The winemaking process utilizes traditional Qvevri, ancient clay vessels buried underground, which are recognized as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. The Mildiani family winery, established in 1991, focuses on combining these ancient Georgian traditions with modern winemaking practices. This approach aims to highlight the unique characteristics of Georgian wines and introduce them to a wider international market.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
This wine is produced using the traditional Georgian Qvevri method, where fermentation takes place in large, buried clay vessels. The Rkatsiteli grapes undergo maceration and fermentation in these Qvevri, allowing for significant skin contact. After fermentation, the wine is aged, first within the clay vessels and subsequently in French oak barrels. This process is central to developing the wine's characteristic amber hue and complex aromatic profile.
