ABOUT THIS WINE
Mirco Mariotti Set e Mez is a sparkling rosé from Emilia-Romagna, made exclusively from the rare Fortana grape. The vineyards are situated on sandy soils just 300 meters from the Adriatic Sea, with some vines exceeding a century in age and growing on their own rootstock. The wine's name, 'Sèt e Mèz,' is inspired by a local card game, reflecting the producer's connection to regional traditions. Mirco Mariotti, continuing a family legacy, focuses on traditional winemaking methods, particularly the ancestral method, to express the unique coastal terroir of the Bosco Eliceo appellation.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Mirco Mariotti Set e Mez is produced using the Méthode Ancestrale, also known as Pétillant Naturel. The 100% Fortana grapes are fermented with native yeasts, and the wine undergoes a brief maceration on the skins for one to two days. Following fermentation in tank, a secondary fermentation takes place in the bottle, creating the wine's natural effervescence. The wine is aged in concrete tanks before being released. The producer practices organic and sustainable farming in their vineyards.
