WINE MAKING PROCESS
Ruffino Modus 2021 is produced using a method that involves aging the three grape varietals – Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot – separately for approximately 12 months. This aging takes place in a mix of French and American oak casks, both new and used. Following this individual maturation, the wines are blended to create the final cuvée. The grapes are sourced from Ruffino's Poggio Casciano estate and other selected vineyards, where precision viticulture is employed to manage each vineyard based on its specific soil properties, aiming to reduce the use of herbicides and pesticides.
