ABOUT THIS WINE
Domaine Saint-Germain is located in the Alpine region of Savoie, specifically in Saint-Pierre-d'Albigny beneath the Dent d'Arclusaz mountain. Re-established in 1999 by Étienne Saint-Germain and now directed by his brother Raphaël alongside daughter Louise, the estate encompasses 14 hectares dedicated to organic viticulture and native Alpine grape varieties. Mondeuse Blanche is a rare historical white grape variety indigenous to Savoy; DNA analysis has shown it to be an ancient ancestor and direct parent of Syrah.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
Grapes are hand-harvested from south-southwest facing slopes composed of stony clay-limestone soils. Winemaking follows natural, low-intervention practices, starting with gentle pneumatic pressing. Fermentation takes place using indigenous yeasts in oak barrels without added sulfites, where both alcoholic and malolactic fermentations occur. The wine is subsequently aged in stainless steel tanks prior to bottling, maintaining minimal total sulfur dioxide levels under 20 mg/L.
