ABOUT THIS WINE
Stags' Leap Winery, established in 1893, is one of California's most historic estates, located in the heart of the Napa Valley. The winery is famous not only for its exceptional wines but also for the historic 'Apostrophe War' legal dispute with Stag's Leap Wine Cellars, which was resolved by placing the apostrophe after the 's' to represent a leap of multiple stags. Under the guidance of Bordeaux-born winemaker Christophe Paubert, the estate focuses on crafting elegant, terroir-driven wines that express the unique microclimate and volcanic soils of their estate and the broader Napa Valley.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
For the 2014 vintage, the grapes underwent careful selection and gentle destemming. The fruit was macerated on the skins for an extended period to extract deep color and structured, velvety tannins. Following fermentation, the wine was aged for 20 months in French oak barrels, of which 37% were new, allowing the oak to integrate seamlessly with the primary fruit characteristics before final blending and bottling.
