ABOUT THIS WINE
The La Pruina Negroamaro Sole Range 2022 is a 100% Negroamaro red wine from the Puglia IGT appellation in Salento, Italy. Produced by La Pruina Vini, the winery was established in 2012 by the D'Apolito family, continuing their agricultural heritage in the region. The vineyards are situated in Salento, characterized by red, iron-rich soils over calcareous rock, which stress the vines to concentrate fruit quality. This unique terroir, influenced by the nearby seas, contributes to the distinctiveness of the Negroamaro grape grown here. The wine's name, 'Pruina,' signifies the protective layer on fruits, reflecting the producer's philosophy of nurturing native varietals.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The winemaking process for the La Pruina Negroamaro Sole Range 2022 begins with destemming and crushing the Negroamaro grapes. This is followed by thermo-controlled alcoholic fermentation, which includes extended skin contact to enhance color and aroma extraction. After fermentation, the wine undergoes pressing and malolactic fermentation. The wine is then aged for approximately two months before bottling.
