ABOUT THIS WINE
Niuru Maru L'Archetipo is a 100% Negroamaro red wine from the Salento IGT in Puglia, Italy. The producer, L'Archetipo, is a family-run winery founded by Francesco Valentino Dibenedetto, who champions synergistic agriculture, a philosophy focused on restoring the land's natural vitality. Their vineyards are located at approximately 320 meters above sea level on 'red soil' characterized by gravel, sand, and humus. The winery's approach emphasizes minimal intervention in both vineyard and cellar, utilizing indigenous yeasts and avoiding filtration to preserve the natural expression of the grape and terroir. This wine is seen as a tool to communicate the winery's broader mission of ecological restoration and connection to nature.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
Niuru Maru L'Archetipo is produced using 100% Negroamaro grapes. The winemaking process emphasizes minimal intervention, beginning with fermentation using only indigenous yeasts found naturally on the grapes. The goal is to preserve the authentic taste, aroma, and color of the fruit. Following fermentation, the wine is aged for approximately three months in stainless steel tanks and large oak barrels. It then rests for another three months in the bottle before being released. The wine is not filtered, further contributing to its natural expression.
