ABOUT THIS WINE
Domaine de L'Anglore was founded by Éric Pfifferling, a former professional beekeeper who turned to winemaking after witnessing the devastating effects of chemical pesticides on his bees. Located in Saint-Geniès-de-Comolas on the right bank of the Rhône River, the estate is celebrated for pioneering a style of Southern Rhône wine defined by freshness, low alcohol, and transparency. The 'Nizon' parcel was acquired in 2006, but due to decades of previous chemical treatments, it required nearly ten years of intensive biodynamic restoration before the soil's microbiome recovered enough to support natural fermentation, leading to its first commercial release in 2015. Today, Éric operates the estate alongside his wife Marie-Laure and sons Thibault and Joris.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
Sourced from centenarian vines grown on sandy soils, the grapes are harvested entirely by hand in small crates to prevent premature crushing. The wine is a co-fermented field blend of red and white varieties. Vinification is conducted using whole-cluster grapes, undergoing 15 days of semi-carbonic maceration with indigenous yeasts. No pumping over, punching down, temperature control, or sulfur dioxide are employed during the process. The wine is aged for approximately 10 months in neutral oak demi-muids and large wooden foudres, and is bottled unfined and unfiltered with zero added sulfites.
