WINE MAKING PROCESS
Nostos Alexandra's 2018 undergoes classic red vinification, with each grape variety (Syrah, Mourvèdre, Grenache Rouge) fermented separately in open stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Maceration lasts between 12 and 25 days. Syrah is vinified in oak casks, while Mourvèdre and Grenache are vinified in stainless steel. Following fermentation, the wine is aged for approximately 10 months in French (75%) and American oak barrels (25%), with malolactic fermentation occurring during this period. Barrels are replaced every four years.
