ABOUT THIS WINE
Château Ksara's Old Vine Carignan 2021 is a red wine from Lebanon's Bekaa Valley, made from 100% Carignan grapes. The wine originates from vines aged over 60 years, cultivated in vineyards situated at high altitudes (1000-1300m) within the Bekaa Valley. Château Ksara, established in 1857 by Jesuit monks, is Lebanon's oldest winery. This particular wine is fermented in concrete tanks built by the Jesuits and is unoaked, emphasizing the expression of the old vines and the regional terroir.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The grapes for Ksara Old Vine Carignan 2021 are sourced from vines over 60 years old. They are rigorously checked and harvested by hand. The wine is fermented in concrete tanks, a technique employed by the Jesuits who originally established the winery. Following fermentation, the wine is not aged in oak, a deliberate choice to allow the pure expression of the Carignan grape and the Bekaa Valley terroir to dominate the final profile.
